About GrowUp Farms

We’re a full-scale, energy-saving, B-Corp certified, sustainably powered vertical farm. We’re on a mission to transform the farming system forever, so that everyone can afford tasty nutritious food, that doesn’t cost the earth. Literally.

In other words: we boldly grow where no one has grown before. Our state-of-the-art salad leaves are made possible by an incredible team of rocket scientists (see what we did there?), engineers, leaf whisperers, and a root network of fabulous people. As we prepare to overhaul our consumer-facing brand in early 2025, we’re looking for an experienced Interim Marketing Manager to join us and help bring this exciting vision to life.

Role Overview

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to take the reins of launching an innovative consumer brand that we have developed into the UK market. As Interim Marketing Manager, you will lead the charge in ensuring the successful development, execution, and measurement of our go-to-market strategy across a breadth of marketing channels.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external agencies to create a compelling brand identity, establish a strong market presence, and deliver a standout launch that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Launch Strategy

  • Lead the creation, development, and execution of the brand launch strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Define clear KPIs and success metrics to measure the impact of the launch.

2. Brand Identity & Positioning

  • Champion the brand’s purpose, tone of voice, and visual identity to ensure consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Work with our designer and external agency partner to develop standout brand assets, including packaging, advertising, and digital content that are ready to launch into market.

3. Marketing Campaigns

  • Design and deliver a multi-channel marketing campaign to support the brand launch, including digital, social, PR, in-store and BTL activations.

4. Product Launch Management

  • Oversee the rollout of the new packaging into market, ensuring flawless execution in collaboration with sales, product development, and supply chain teams.
  • Work closely with internal teams (sales, category, operations, and product development) to ensure a cohesive approach to the brand launch.

5. Market Research & Insights

  • Utilise market and consumer research to shape the brand strategy and inform decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify risks and opportunities for the brand.

6. Budget Management

  • Manage the brand launch budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to deliver maximum impact within the agreed financial parameters.

7. Performance Monitoring

  • Track and report on campaign performance, using data and insights to optimise future initiatives.

Requirements

Experience

  • A proven track record in senior or mid-level consumer facing brand management roles, ideally in food.
  • Hands-on experience launching new brands or products into market in the UK.
  • Expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies across all channels (digital, social, BTL, in-store, PR).

Skills

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to engage and inspire internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, track performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Mindset

  • An entrepreneurial mindset in achieving a disproportionate share of voice. This isn’t about a huge budget launch – we are proudly scrappy in how we need to approach challenges with what we have.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with a ‘roll-up-your-sleeves’ mentality.
  • An original and innovative thinker.
  • Passion for sustainability, food innovation, and making a positive impact in the world.
